Open Expansion Tank

While MİMSAN‟s open expansion tanks ensure the safety of the boiler and installation in building heating system, they also supplement the water losses resulting from factors such as evaporation of the water inside the installation, various leakages, repair and maintenance. Excessive amount of water heating and expanding inside the boiler is collected in this tank, and the installation water is supplemented from here when water cools down and decreases.

For safety reasons, use of open expansion tanks is mandatory in solid fuelled systems.

The tanks produced from St-37 quality material as cylindrical and curved are produced in the material thickness values specified by TSE standards, while the tank body is painted with two layers of anti-rust paint against rust through necessary pressure tests and controls.

Devices, which can be manufactured with tray upon request, are insulated with glass or rock wool, and coated with aluminium or galvanized sheet.

The products are designed and manufactured in accordance with TS EN 713 standards.

WHAT IS EXPANSION?

In hot water heating systems, when the water is heated from 10 °C to 90°C, its volume increases by 3.55%. Expansion tanks are used in order to obtain this expansion as a result of water temperature. Expansion tanks also prevent pressure from increasing and provide the necessary water assistance to the system thereby ensuring the safety of the system.
